How I built my first satellite using instructions from Make Magazine and electronics. I read about a balloon satellite in my mom’s old Make Magazine and decided that’s what I wanted to do for my science fair. I ran a Kickstarter campaign, with the help of my mom, and raised enough money to buy all the parts. After I got all the parts I built the satellite, with the help of my dad. I learned a lot about electronics and basic programming and had a successful launch. I entered the project in my science fair and won first place. I am going to go to the regional fair in March. After experiencing lots of small failures with this project and one big success, I am really excited to see what other projects I can do!
